Trees and vegetation help support our communities — but when they interfere with power lines, they can become dangerous. If you notice hazardous vegetation near electrical lines, let us know.
Non-emergency tree trimming requests can be made online.
What to Expect After You Submit a Request
A Renfrew Hydro representative will contact you within 5 to 10 business days after your form is submitted to discuss your request.
If the line is determined to be our property, we will send a qualified team to assess the issue. If the vegetation is deemed to be unsafe, our qualified team will take precautionary measures by trimming or removing the tree to ensure your safety.
Important: Renfrew Hydro is responsible for tree trimming along road allowances and around our power lines, but not on private property. If trees on your property pose a hazard to power lines, you are responsible for trimming them. Renfrew Hydro can arrange a temporary power outage to facilitate safe tree trimming by you or a qualified contractor.
