Continuing Service Agreement Enrollment Request

    Agreement Terms

By submitting this Landlord Continuous Service Agreement (this “Agreement”), the property owner (“Landlord”) of the property/properties referred to herein (the “Premises”) represents and agrees to:

    1. Accept financial responsibility for the Premises’ electricity service accounts when a tenant occupying the Premises closes their account, or the identity of the new tenant occupying the Premises is unknown (the “Account” and collectively the “Accounts”) to Renfrew Hydro Inc. (“Renfrew Hydro”).
    2. If applicable, authorize and appoint a property manager (“Property Manager”) to manage the Accounts on its behalf. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event the Property Manager defaults in any Account payment obligations to Renfrew Hydro, the Landlord agrees that it shall assume the financial responsibility for the outstanding Accounts and shall immediately pay all Account balances as requested by Renfrew Hydro.
    3. Provide Renfrew Hydro with ten (10) days prior notice of a new appointment and/or replacement of the Property Manager.

When Renfrew Hydro receives notification that the tenant will be moving, the Landlord or the Property Manager managing the Accounts, as applicable, will be advised by Renfrew Hydro when responsibility for the Accounts will be transferred to the Landlord.

This Agreement helps ensure the Premises’ Accounts will not be disconnected by Renfrew Hydro during a change of occupancy. The Landlord agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Renfrew Hydro from any claims, demands, losses or proceedings by any entity against Renfrew Hydro arising from or in connection with this Agreement.

Please note: If there isn’t an Agreement in place, you are required to authorize the account to be put back in your name each time a tenant vacates the Premises. If we do not have authorization to do so, the electrical service will be disconnected.
