The Feed-In Tariff (FIT) and microFIT programs were launched to support the development of small-scale renewable energy projects in Ontario. While these programs are no longer accepting new applications, existing contract holders will continue to receive guaranteed rates for electricity generated over the 20-year term of their agreements.

If you currently own a FIT or microFIT installation, you must continue to operate and maintain your system according to the terms of your connection agreement and contract. Any updates or changes must be communicated to Renfrew Hydro. Once your contract expires, you may be eligible to transition to the Net Metering program.
