The Ontario Energy Board issues a Rate Order to determine our rates in accordance with their decisions. The following are the Rate Orders issues by the Ontario Energy Board.

Distribution Rates

On December 12, 2024, the Ontario Energy Board issued its EB-2024-0052 Decision and Rate Order for electricity distribution rates, effective January 1, 2025​.

As a result of this decision, a typical residential customer of Renfrew Hydro consuming 750 kWh per month would see their monthly bill increase by $2.16.  This change does not factor in applicable taxes or the Ontario Electricity Rebate.
