Entry and Eligibility

This contest runs from 8:30 AM (EST) on August 01, 2025 through to 11:59 PM (EST) on October 31, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). You will be entered automatically into the “Switch to eBills for your chance to win big 2025” contest (the “Contest”) if you successfully register for eBills on Renfrew Hydro Inc.’s (“Renfrew Hydro”) website: renfrewhydro.com. Customers enrolled for eBills prior to August 01, 2025 will be automatically enrolled in the Contest. Limit one (1) entry per account.

This Contest is only open to active customers of Renfrew Hydro with an account in good standing, who have registered for eBills, who are 18 years of age or older, excluding the employees, directors, and officers of Renfrew Hydro or any of its affiliates, advertising, and promotional agencies, and agents and representatives and the immediate family members of such employees, directors, and officers, their legal or common-law spouse and/or any persons living in the same household. There is a limit of one (1) entry per each (i) successful eBills registration.

LIMIT ONE (1) PRIZE PER Renfrew Hydro account (that is in good standing at the time the contest closes).

No purchase necessary

A copy of the “Official Contest Rules” for this Contest will be posted at renfrewhydro.com throughout the Contest Period. By entering this Contest, entrants acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Official Contest Rules. Renfrew Hydro reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant they find to be tampering with the entry process or with the operation of this Contest or to be acting in violation of the Official Contest Rules. Renfrew Hydro reserves the rights, in its sole discretion, to amend, cancel, terminate, or suspend this Contest, in whole or in part, without prior notice.

All entries become the property of Renfrew Hydro and none will be returned. All entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are late, lost, illegible, incomplete, forged, falsified, altered, or tampered with in any way. Renfrew Hydro is not responsible for contacting entrants who provide unclear or incomplete information and assumes no responsibility for entries that are delayed or misdirected during the Contest Period, including any failure to receive an entry as a result of technical problems.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of law, and should such an attempt be made, Renfrew Hydro reserves the right to exclude such person from the Contest and to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Prizes

• One (1) prize of a credit valued at $1,200.00 (CAD) will be applied to randomly selected entrants’ Renfrew Hydro customer accounts (the “Account Credit”)
• Two (2) $250 (CAD) pre-paid Visa prizes

Prize Limits and Exclusions

Enrolling and un-enrolling in eBills will not result in any additional chances to win. The Account Credit is not to be combined with any other offer. The Account Credit has no cash value and cannot be refunded. Ceasing to be a Renfrew Hydro account holder will result in forfeiting any remaining Account Credit amount, if unused.

Winner Selection

The contest begins 8:30 AM (EST) on August 01, 2025 and all entries must be received by October 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM (EST). The potential winners will be selected from the total Contest entry pool within seven (7) business days following the end of the Contest Period at Renfrew Hydro’s head office at B-499 O’Brien Rd, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada K7V 3Z3. Winners will be selected randomly by Renfrew Hydro under the supervision of Steve Head, President.

Odds of winning the Account Credit depend on the number of eligible entries received by the end of the Contest Period and meeting the Contest criteria. The eligible entrant(s) randomly selected will be notified via telephone or email on or before November 12, 2025. The selected entrant(s) must respond to Renfrew Hydro via telephone at 613-432-4884 or via email to [email protected] within four (4) days of such notification or they will forfeit the Account Credit. Renfrew Hydro may then select a new name from the remaining eligible entrants. This selection process will continue until an eligible entry is selected and a winner is declared. ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS MAY APPLY. NO SUBSTITUTIONS.

In order to be declared an official winner, the selected entrant must:

1. Respond to the notice that they have been selected as a potential winner within 96 hours of the notice;
2. Correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question by email to a representative of Renfrew Hydro’s Customer Service department;
3. Provide satisfactory identification and proof of eligibility; and
4. Sign and return (via email or mail) to Renfrew Hydro, within three (3) days of receipt thereof, an agreement and release form confirming entrant’s eligibility and compliance with the Official Contest Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, and releasing Renfrew Hydro, the supplier of the prizes and their respective advertising and promotional agencies and their affiliates, and employees, directors, officers, agents and representatives, successors and assigns of each, respectively (collectively, the “Releasees”) from all liability for damages the winner may incur as a result of participating in this Contest and accepting the prize.
